ExpoNaval: The largest meeting for the Naval and Defense industry in Latin America prepares for its next version 2024

The most important international exhibition and congress in the Naval and Defense field, ExpoNaval, is already in full swing for its new version to be held between December 3 and 6, 2024, at the Valparaiso Port Passenger Terminal.

The most important international exhibition and congress in the Naval and Defense field, ExpoNaval, is already in full swing for its new version to be held between December 3 and 6, 2024, at the Valparaiso Port Passenger Terminal. The international meeting, organized by FISA of the GL events Group, will bring together the main actors of the sector, providing a space that will facilitate commercial relations and expand the contact networks of the participants. In this new version 2024, the fair will be deployed in 12,000 mts2, it is estimated to have more than 120 exhibiting companies, and expects to receive 10 thousand professional visitors from more than 45 countries, including several naval delegations from all over the world. Likewise, exhibitors will have access to a broad agenda of meetings with public and private institutions, establishing new contacts, strengthening commercial relations, and promoting new technologies and solutions in a wide range of topics related to defense and the maritime field. FISA’s deputy general manager, Rodrigo Lobo, said that “today we have great expectations in terms of attendance. This will be one of the largest defense and security events in terms of participation, with the presence of armed forces, supplier companies and professionals from various countries, who will be able to establish commercial relations and expand and strengthen their networks. Therefore, we invite everyone to be part of this Fair”. The fair will also allow the different Navies attending to interact with various world-renowned shipyards that have developed shipbuilding capabilities and that will transmit experiences that will allow the Chilean Navy to advance in its national continuous shipbuilding plan. ExpoNaval 2024 will also present an International Congress with various topics and the intervention of prominent authorities and experts of recognized national and global trajectory, who will address the key issues for a complete analysis of the new challenges of the ecosystem and maritime security that affects all citizens. The event aims to reaffirm the important role of the naval world in Chile, showcase local developments of goods, products and related services, introduce new technologies not available in Chile to the market, exchange experiences, technologies and international developments with local agents. Every two years since 1998, ExpoNaval has established itself as the most important event of its kind in the region, bringing together the navies of Latin America, Europe, America, Asia and Oceania, as well as exhibitors from the world’s defense industry. exhibitors from the world’s defense industry, shipyards, maritime technology, security, telecommunications, among others. EXPONAVAL 2022 In its 2022 version, 88 exhibiting companies participated in a space of 14.5 thousand square meters. In four days of exhibition, the fair showed a wide offer of the naval and defense industry. In addition, the two-day International Congress “The Challenges for a Maritime Condition in the 21st Century” featured more than 10 speakers and panelists from the Americas and Europe, both from the public and private sectors, with extensive experience in the naval world, such as the Second Sea Lord of the British Royal Navy and the outgoing Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Australian Navy, among other distinguished panelists. The event succeeded in promoting innovation, providing tools for its development in the country, and contributed to the relationship between institutions, boosting the creation of direct and indirect jobs that are produced around the fair.
