The Exponaval 2020 Congress: “Shipbuilding and its contribution to national development” has already outlined the main topics that will be addressed within the framework of the Latin American fair for the shipbuilding industry. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 2, in the Plenary Hall of the Concón air base in the Valparaíso Region.

The Congress, is expected to take place between 8:30 and 17:30 hours and will be inaugurated by the Minister of Defense, Alberto Espina, and by the Commander in Chief of the Navy, Admiral Julio Leiva.

The first morning panel is called Contribution of shipbuilding to the development of a country and the topics to be discussed will be: Boost for new technologies, increased job creation, training and development of human capital and sustainability.

While panel 2 will present the “Continuous National Shipbuilding Plan in Chile” and the third panel will focus on Shipbuilding in ASMAR in the last decade for the Chilean Navy. Finally, the international panel will be chaired by Asmar who will talk about issues of development of current military shipbuilding, taking the cases of England, Brazil and Canada.
