STM to Showcase Proven Naval Engineering Capabilities at ExpoNaval 2026

One of Türkiye’s leading naval engineering companies, STM will showcase its advanced naval platforms at ExpoNaval 2026 in Chile, highlighting its turnkey engineering expertise and growing role as a trusted partner to navies worldwide.

STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB), will participate in ExpoNaval 2026 in Santiago, Chile, from December 1–3.

At ExpoNaval 2026, STM will showcase the İ-Class Frigate, STM MPAC Multi-Purpose Attack Craft, the Portuguese Navy Logistics Support Ship and the STM500 submarine.

With 35 years of experience, STM delivers turnkey naval projects covering the entire lifecycle of a platform, from design and construction to systems integration, procurement and delivery. To date, STM has undertaken 44 naval projects at 11 different shipyards worldwide, providing NATO-standard, tailor-made solutions to the specific operational requirements of navies.

From Türkiye’s MİLGEM Programme to Global Naval Projects

STM served as the main subcontractor in Türkiye’s first national warship programme, MİLGEM, and designed and built TCG İSTANBUL, Türkiye’s first national frigate, delivering the vessel to the Turkish Navy. Today, STM continues the construction of seven İ-Class Frigates and Türkiye’s first national fast attack craft for the Turkish Navy.

STM has successfully transferred this expertise to international programmes, undertaking two corvettes for Ukraine, three corvettes for Malaysia, two Logistics Support Ships for Portugal, and the Fleet Tanker delivered to the Pakistan Navy. The company has also contributed to the design, construction and modernization of 20 submarines to date, establishing extensive expertise in both surface and underwater platforms.

Beyond conventional naval platforms, STM develops autonomous surface and underwater vehicles, extending its engineering capabilities into next-generation maritime operations.
