Babcock International, a leading provider of critical complex engineering services offering solutions in the field of Defense and the civilian world, has committed its attendance to ExpoNaval 2022. Babcock has been contracted by the UK Ministry of Defense (MOD) to deliver five Type 31 frigates. The contract, which was awarded in November 2019, marks another decade of shipbuilding activity for the historic Rosyth shipyard. Building on the unique experience and success of Aircraft Carrier Alliance, Babcock has assembled a highly experienced, integrated project team spanning several regions of the UK, to deliver on the challenging Type 31 program. This pioneering program, as described by the MOD, is the first of its kind to be delivered under the new British National Shipbuilding Strategy. Additionally, these shipyards are promoting the “ARROWHEAD 140” frigate, which is a highly adaptable frigate to the needs of navies wishing to renew their units, as Babcock offers support to build this type of units in the countries that require it, providing the necessary technical support to local shipyards. For Expo Naval, Babcock’s assistance will allow them to join the shipbuilding workshop that will take place on Thursday, December 1, together with other shipyards attending the fair.
