The 17th IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair takes place from July 22-27, 2025 at the Istanbul Exhibition Center. It is organized by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, with the support of the Secretariat of Defense Industries of the Presidency of Turkey, under the direction and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and hosted by KFA Fairs Organization Inc.
The topics covered are: land equipment, with emphasis on the latest innovations in defense technology in this area, effective methods of operational readiness, armed vehicles, weapons systems and logistical support; maritime equipment, with a broad display of amphibious vehicles and the latest in naval defense; aviation and outer space; border and digital security; and logistics.
Rodrigo Bastidas, fairs manager at GL events and representative of Expo Naval, is present at IDEF to consolidate ties with international players in the maritime defense industry, in view of the development of a new edition of this fair in December 2026.
Bastidas stated that “instances such as this are fundamental to strengthen international cooperation in such a critical issue as defense. As Chile is a maritime country, it is key to mark a presence in these spaces, connect with other interested parties that pursue similar objectives to ours and broaden the horizons of Expo Naval so that, in the future, international actors will see Chile as a pole of development and innovation in this area.”
