With the purpose of covering different topics in the area of Defense and maritime aspects, it was confirmed that a delegation from the Indian Ministry of Defense together with senior officers of the Armed Forces will attend the most important Naval Fair of the Region. Indeed, the Indian Defense sector has shown great interest in the development programs carried out by the Chilean Navy in the field of shipbuilding, where India wants to promote its shipyards and share experiences in its development programs. Also, some navies in the region have shown interest in the naval version of the BrahMos missile (The BrahMos missile has been developed as a joint venture between the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of India and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM) of Russia under BrahMos Aerospace. The missile is named after two rivers, the Brahmaputra and the Moskva). During their participation in EXPONAVAL, the Indian authorities are expected to hold meetings with representatives of the Chilean and Brazilian navies regarding the use of the Scorpene class submarine, as these three navies operate this type of unit. Likewise, the Indian delegation will promote the Defense systems of world renowned companies such as TATA ADVANCED SYSTEMS, which offers logistic and combat solutions ranging from aircraft, UAVs and a wide range of land vehicles with the design and production of its own sensors.
